Career Exploration Workshop at DSA!

On March 21st, students at Detroit School of Arts had the opportunity to dive into the world of design and innovation with General Motors! 🙌✨ This workshop helped students explore career pathways and connect with industry professionals.

We’re excited to announce that Product Design is now underway at DSA, led by the talented Stephen Schock! This course gives students hands-on experience in design thinking, sketching, prototyping, and bringing innovative ideas to life.

Meet Justin!
9th Grade, Art Club

Justin is currently working on a blue dress that he plans to submit to this year’s fashion show. Even though he’s not taking a fashion class this semester, he’s eager to learn and improve through his own project.

“My inspiration comes from seeing everyone else’s dresses and thinking, ‘I wonder if I can do that.’ I’ve done it before, and I want to try again to practice and get better,” Justin shares.

With fabric, a zipper, and bias tape in hand, Justin is ready to bring his design to life.
