Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries is collecting new school supplies for children living in our shelters and for families attending our Back-to-School Community Distribution on August 4.

Every backpack, notebook, pencil, and box of crayons helps a child begin the school year with confidence.

☀️ The HEAT is ON again this week! 🌡️

From the National Weather Service: EXTREME HEAT WATCH IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY, JULY 14TH, AFTERNOON THROUGH WEDNESDAY EVENING AT 8PM.

High temperatures can be dangerous, especially for older adults, young children, individuals experiencing homelessness, and those with chronic health conditions.

If you or someone you know needs relief from the heat, seek out a local cooling center from the City of Detroit Government and find available resources:
