"Looking ahead in 2025, use of the historic Bell Road Bridge to cross Mill Creek as it connects to the trail near Forest Lawn Cemetery will align with an additional 0.8 miles of trail to connect the trail to the City of Dexter. Construction is planned to begin in early 2026. Our construction team is securing easements and permits for the final alignment of the 105-foot wrought iron bridge constructed in 1891. Once complete, only 1.4 miles of trail remain to be built between Dexter and Chelsea."

Dexter Senior Center Information

The Dexter Senior Center is welcoming the community into their new building with a soft opening through July. The Senior Center will celebrate officially with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, August 16 at 10 a.m. The following week, August 18 through 22, they will be hosting a Community Open House to introduce people to the many programs and services that they offer. The week will wrap-up with a special celebration on Friday the 22nd featuring fun events, raffles, and food.

The Dexter Senior Center is open to all older adults 55 and up, as well as other local groups. Starting in August, the Dexter Rotary Club, Dexter Lions, and the Dexter Forum will begin using the space for their meetings.

Membership is open to anyone over the age of 55 and is $35/year.
