A cockroach can live several weeks with its head cut off - it dies from starvation!
Death by starvation is slow. Mary Hunter Austin

To live, it takes food intake to sustain us, without the nutrition to maintain the function of the body, the body will dry up and die. Life requires us to eat daily, the same is true for a child of God. To grow and be healthy we should daily feed on the word of God.
To many think going to church is all the feeding they need to be a successful Christian, when they are slowing starving. The spiritual soul inside is suffering a slow and agonizing death. It only receives enough nutrition to prolong a dyeing soul. Many have never grown enough to trade in the bottle of milk to receive meat from the word of God.
Milk is all a baby can handle, and it gives the baby the time to develop to the point it can receive bread and meat. The milk cannot sustain a full-size human, the same is true in God’s word, milk is the only way to begin, but, to become a individual God can truly use, we should grow to the point where we can handle the bread and meat that comes from the Bible.

The question then is, what type food are you eating from the Bible, or, are you starving to death?

Matthew 5:6 (KJV)
6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
1 Peter 2:2 (KJV)
2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
John 6:35 (KJV)
35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

Yesterday is not ours to recover, but tomorrow is ours to win or lose. Lyndon B. Johnson

Always remember that the future comes one day at a time.

The Bible was not given to increase knowledge but to change our lives. D.L. Moody

Some go around wandering about the past, living a life of what may have been. We cannot change yesterday, what has happened is done and gone. We may feel the effects of our decision on our lives today, but we cannot take back the words or action we have committed yesterday.

The good news is we can change our tomorrow, starting today. Aligning our action of today with the word of God we can rest assured we will have a bright future.

Jeremiah 10:23-24 (KJV)
23 O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps. 24 O LORD, correct me, but with judgment; not in thine anger, lest thou bring me to nothing.

“Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.”
— Isaiah 7:14

Let us to-day go down to Bethlehem, and in company with wondering shepherds and adoring Magi, let us see him who was born King of the Jews, for we by faith can claim an interest in him, and can sing, “Unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given.” Jesus is Jehovah incarnate, our Lord and our God, and yet our brother and friend; let us adore and admire. Let us notice at the very first glance his miraculous conception. It was a thing unheard of before, and unparalleled since, that a virgin should conceive and bear a Son. The first promise ran thus, “The seed of the woman,” not the offspring of the man. Since venturous woman led the way in the sin which brought forth Paradise lost, she, and she alone, ushers in the Regainer of Paradise. Our Saviour, although truly man, was as to his human nature the Holy One of God. Let us reverently bow before the holy Child whose innocence restores to manhood its ancient glory; and let us pray that he may be formed in us, the hope of glory. Fail not to note his humble parentage. His mother has been described simply as “a virgin,” not a princess, or prophetess, nor a matron of large estate. True the blood of kings ran in her veins; nor was her mind a weak and untaught one, for she could sing most sweetly a song of praise; but yet how humble her position, how poor the man to whom she stood affianced, and how miserable the accommodation afforded to the new-born King!

Immanuel, God with us in our nature, in our sorrow, in our lifework, in our punishment, in our grave, and now with us, or rather we with him, in resurrection, ascension, triumph, and Second Advent splendour.

Freedom

I believe that freedom of speech and freedom of religion go hand-in-hand in America. Kirk Cameron

In the movie, Braveheart William Wallace, have been betrayed and captured was given a choice to confess his allegiance to the king and have a fast death or not to confess and receive a slow tortuous death. William chose not to confess, as he was awaiting death Wallace prayed to his lord: “I am so afraid. Give me the strength to die well.” And God did.

As Wallace was being stretched and disemboweled, he never cried out, but with everything he had left inside of him he mustered up the strength before being beheaded and cried out freeeeeedom. William Wallace had a passion for freedom, but it was another kind of freedom.

We as humans search for freedom, the freedom we need is from the bo***ge of sin. Sin binds us and takes hold of us and takes away all our joy and happiness. Ture freedom is just a call away. John 8:36 (KJV) 36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

Oswald Chambers wrote: Whenever God touches sin it is independence that is touched, and that awakens resentment in the human heart. Independence must be blasted clean out, there must be no such thing left, only freedom, which is very different. Freedom is the ability not to insist on my rights, but to see that God gets his.

Have we sought for freedom and still feel all bond up? Then seek the freedom that only Christ can bring by letting God have his way in your life.

Galatians 5:1 (KJV)
1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bo***ge.
