Nowadays Flowers

I accidentally stumbled into gardening seven years ago, when I felt lost and needed a sense of purpose and hope. But this daily practice has given me so much more than I expected. Year later, my belief that beauty isn't just a luxury has only gotten stronger. It's not frivolous, or decorative, or something to come back to when all the important stuff is figured out. Nurturing something beautiful can be infrastructure for better mental health and emotional wellbeing.

My goal with this talk is not just to get more people cultivating beauty in their own lives, accessing more joy and connection, but to also realize just how simple it can be. It can look like a lot of different things, and it doesn't need to be perfect or complicated. The outcome can be life-changing.
