We get a lot of calls asking if we recycle old computers and what we do with computers that are not cost effective to repair.
Here you go!
These computers and parts of off to the recycling center to be processed and turned into various other products. All the hard drives with the data have been removed, labeled, then subsequently destroyed here in house (picture Office Space and the guys with baseball bats taking out the printer).
Can some of them still be used?
Sure! Some parts have been used in house for testing or used in donation projects. We even have a student that comes in and takes apart old computers to learn more about how they work and repair. You may even see your motherboard displayed in our shop!
If your interested in recycling your old computers, feel free to drop them off during normal business hours. (If you have an old monitor, all-in-one, or printer, we do have to charge $10 to cover the fee from the recycling center.)
