Next in our fall course spotlight series: The Architecture & Cuisine of Andalusia (November 8-15, 2026).

Between the 8th and 15th centuries, much of the Iberian Peninsula was ruled by a succession of Muslim dynasties whose influence is still visible everywhere in southern Spain — in the architecture, the street plan of its cities, and the food on the table. This course examines that legacy across two historically rich cities: Córdoba and Granada.

⭐️Morning field seminars examine how centuries of overlapping cultural influences - Roman, Arab, Berber, Christian, Jewish, and beyond - shaped the architecture, urban design, and cuisine of both cities
⭐️Afternoons are free for self-guided exploration, with recommendations from the instructor
⭐️A historical tapas tasting traces the culinary legacy of the region
⭐️Distinctive 4-star hotels in the center of each city
⭐️Optional extracurriculars include a traditional flamenco performance and a sherry tasting

Enrollment open now.

Spend a week studying art and art de vivre in one of Southern France’s most culturally rich — and underrated — cities, while living in the restored guest quarters of a private 18th-century château.

Art & Art de Vivre in Montpellier | Sept 27 – Oct 4

⭐️Daily discussions over breakfast in the château’s greenhouse
⭐️Field seminars in working artist studios and across the city’s markets and art institutions — tracing the conversation between artistic traditions from the classical to the contemporary
⭐️A city whose architecture ranges from medieval alleyways to bold modern landmarks
⭐️Art de vivre in practice — living in and learning from an 18th-century château that is itself a subject of the course

The most intimate cohort of any Elective — spots are very limited. Enrollment open through May 30.
