As a Black-owned business, we are grateful for the opportunity to use our gifts to uplift our community, empower individuals with special needs, serve our veterans, and remind every person who sits in our chair that they are seen, valued, and worthy.

Juneteenth is more than a day off. It’s a reminder that freedom comes with responsibility—the responsibility to keep pushing forward, keep opening doors, and keep pouring into the next generation.

Today, we honor our ancestors by continuing the work.

One of my elderly clients looked at me today and said, “JacQuil… is your name African? Are you from Wakanda?” 😭😂

I said, “No ma’am, my name actually comes from a flower.” 🌸

She looked at me like, “Girl, don’t play with me.” 💀

Then she proceeded to tell me she volunteered in Wakanda for several years and was fully convinced I had roots over there somewhere 😂✋🏾

Ma’am… I’m from North Carolina 😭
