With a strong background in health care innovation and a keen focus on consumer-driven health care coverage and services, Mike brings a wealth of expertise to our team. His dedication to advancing our mission through volunteerism has been instrumental over the years.

According to the latest CDC data, 19.2% of COVID-19 cases in the US are in people 65+ but they account for 78.8% of all COVID-19 deaths.

In our system of Advanced Preventive Care, specially trained nurses work with this target population to create a sustained, supportive relationship that enables them to combine - care coordination, disease management, and personalized preventive interventions - to flexibly respond to changing patient needs over time including COVID-19. Our system has sometimes been described as "complex care management", "advanced care management", "community-based care management", and other labels, but we think the term Advanced Preventive Care best captures the broad, anticipatory, and proactive nature of our approach.
