Boy, those rains were a relief last night. Almost felt like fall there for a moment! August, here we come. Raise a glass to a new month with our seven beers on tap down at Austin Java. Cheers, y'all!

The boys up at Maverick Malt House brought us something real special! This fine barley was cut by Rea Custom Harvesting crew, which is our Head Brewer Cody’s family operation up in the Texas Panhandle.

We’re pretty excited to create a beer that truly embodies not only the farm-to-table movement — but also keeps it all in the family — hence the beer name. We’ll be brewing Kinfolk (Kölsch) solely with Maverick Malt. It’s awesome to be able to share this with y’all in a pint glass.

Thanks to Corey and Blaze for growing and malting this barley and getting it to our brewery.

So the Dog Days of Summer have begun, huh?
