Today, we remember Juneteenth—the day Union soldiers arrived in Galveston, Texas, to announce freedom to enslaved people. While our hearts grieve this painful chapter in our nation’s history, we also celebrate the God-given dignity and worth of every person.
As we reflect on freedom today, we’re reminded of the ultimate freedom found in Jesus Christ:
“So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free.” — John 8:36 (NLT)
May we live in that freedom and carry the love, grace, and hope of Jesus in all we say and do.

What a FULL Sunday at Canyon Church! 🙌
Powerful worship, celebrating baptisms, a timely message from Pastor Russell on finding the cure for complaining, our lemonade stand fundraiser supporting Foster Village, and praying over and sending off our students to camp—it was a day full of joy, growth, and community. Grateful for all God is doing! 💛
