💙 **July is Cleft & Craniofacial Awareness Month** 💙

Did you know?

✨ About **1 in every 700 babies** is born with a cleft lip and/or cleft palate, making it one of the most common birth differences worldwide.

🩺 A cleft occurs very early in pregnancy when parts of the lip or roof of the mouth don't completely join together. Most cases are not caused by anything a parent did or didn't do.

👩‍⚕️ Treatment is a journey, not a single surgery. Many individuals receive care from a team of specialists—including surgeons, speech therapists, orthodontists, audiologists, and dentists—to help them thrive.

💬 People with cleft and craniofacial differences are just as unique, capable, and amazing as anyone else. A smile, kindness, and understanding can make a world of difference.

Tonight is our monthly Magical Monday Zoom call!

For this session, we are honored to welcome a special guest speaker Jadynn Locher, Carson Locher’s sister, who will share her personal perspective on what it’s like to grow up as a sibling of someone with a craniofacial difference. Her story offers a meaningful look into the sibling experience, highlighting both the challenges and the deep bonds that shape families.

This will be a supportive and open conversation, and we encourage families, siblings, and caregivers to join, listen, and engage if they feel comfortable.

As always, our goal is to create a welcoming space where everyone feels seen, heard, and connected.
