City of Dubuque Trick-or-Treat is Thursday October 31st from 5:30-7:30pm! Please use extra caution on the roads during this time! Some tips for drivers:

#1: Be alert for trick-or-treaters and other pedestrians.

#2: Slow down and scan the road. Remember: Slower speeds save lives.

#3: Watch for young trick-or-treaters in unexpected places. Children may be unaware of traffic and dart into the street unexpectedly.

#4: If you see a drunk driver, contact law enforcement.

You’re no mummy 🧟‍♂️, vampire 🧛, or Frankenstein 🧟 — you have ONE life. Make sure your Halloween fun doesn’t end in a nightmare.

With tomorrow being Halloween, the Dubuque County Sheriff's Office would like to remind everyone to use caution when driving in the evening. There will be a large number of kids running around after dark who may be difficult to see. Also, kids racing around trying to build their stockpile of candy may not be using their best judgement when crossing the street. Please slow down, give yourselves an abundance of time to reach your destination, and keep an eye out for the kiddos! Thanks, and stay safe!
