Understanding Ovarian Cancer – MOCA 09/23/2021

Early Detection is Key

Ovarian cancer* often has no symptoms in the early stages. Later stages are associated with symptoms, but they can be non-specific, such as loss of appetite and weight loss.

Can have no symptoms, but people may experience:

Pain areas: in the abdomen or pelvis

Gastrointestinal: bloating, change in bowel habits, indigestion, or nausea

Abdominal: abdominal fullness, fluid in the abdomen, or lump in the abdomen

Whole body: cancer-related fatigue or loss of appetite

Also common: weight loss

Understanding Ovarian Cancer – MOCA Cancer is a disease in which some of the body’s cells begin to divide without stopping and spread into surrounding tissue. Ovarian cancers are a group of diseases that affect a woman’s ovaries.
