Don’t sweat the small stuff!
In 2.5 plus years we’ve seen a lot of different variants of cold plunge entries and exits. Want maximum benefits from your plunge? Here’s some pro tips:
-One major point of the plunge is training your stress response. Control yourself getting in, and getting out. Practice getting better at controlling your response to the cold each time you plunge.
-It really is mind over matter. Your breath is your anchor here. Controlled breathing, express the exhale especially. When you control your breath, you control your mind.
-Set the intention before you get in. Something along the lines of “I can do hard things”. Repeat it. Believe it. Focus on it. You’re a badass even if you haven’t realized it yet 😉. Another anchor to conquering the cold.
-Don’t watch the clock. Time slows down when you do. Don’t ask us how, it just does. Focus on your breath and stillness. The time passes before you know it. 2-4 minutes is great!
It’s not getting you much benefit to cannonball in, scream, and rocket out of the tub like your hair is on fire. We always invite you to get as uncomfortable as your comfortable getting, and even to push those limits. Practicing control under the stress of heat and cold moves the needle to unlocking benefits that go well beyond our walls into everyday life when it comes to handling the crazy world we live in.

🚨Member Spotlight🚨
We got some catching up to do on bragging about our sauna family here! Today we’re starting with Ben, who is in the very exclusive “500 Club” which commemorates 500 sauna sessions here at The Studio. Mr. Consistent here anchors the morning crew and it’s been amazing to get to know him over the last two years. His body composition has changed since we’ve known him in a big way, and as you can see from his pics, he’s really grown with the place. Today we salute you, Ben! Thank you for being such an integral part of our family here, and adding such value to the space!

🔹 2 Miles: Perfect shorter loop option.
