Hey Travel Tribe — if you’re flying in the next few weeks, especially solo adventurers or weekend warriors, heads up: the Federal Aviation Administration is rolling out capacity reductions at 40 major U.S. airports (yes, the big hubs!) because air-traffic controllers and TSA staff are working without pay during the shutdown.

• Fewer flights = fewer options, more stress if you’re connecting or flying domestically
• Even if your departure flight looks fine, your connection home might not be

🧳 Your travel-prep checklist
• Keep tabs on your flight(s) via your airline app
• Build in extra buffer time for connections, especially at listed hubs
• If you have a choice, consider flying direct or leaving one day earlier
• Know your airline’s refund/re-route policy — some are offering refunds even if yours isn’t cancelled yet
