That’s not an AI filter.

That’s eight days of volunteer action at Ponderosa Elementary in Aurora.

12 raised garden beds.
New fencing.
Dozens of Earth Day workshops with students.
A brand-new playground mural.

And most importantly, a school community coming together to build something lasting.

The work isn’t finished yet, but on Earth Day we’ll celebrate the grand opening with hundreds of kids, parents, and residents.

This is what happens when people show up.
This is what community looks like.

🎨 Aurora Roots Collective – Founding Members Wanted 🌱

Aurora is growing.
And we’re building something powerful at the roots.

The Walls Project is launching the Aurora Roots Collective — a small group of local leaders, creatives, neighbors, and change-makers who believe in investing in youth, public spaces, and long-term community vitality.

This is not just another board.
This is a hands-on, community-centered advisory collective helping guide:

✨ Youth Culture Club & Safe Third Spaces
🎨 Public murals & creative placemaking
🌳 School food forests & agroforestry workforce pathways
🤝 MLK, Earth Day & citywide Reactivate events

We’re looking for 4–12 individuals who:
• Care deeply about Aurora
• Bring diverse lived and professional experiences
• Believe in showing up consistently
• Are willing to give monthly (even $5 counts)
• Want to help shape something meaningful from the ground up

Members will meet monthly, build connections, review ideas, attend community events, and help expand opportunity in the neighborhoods we serve.

This is a founding moment.
If you’ve been waiting for a way to engage more deeply in Aurora — this is it.
