For AHS students, fall semester includes the Socialization and Identity Project, a deep dive into academic analysis of the forces that shape who we are, culminating in a professional Exhibition of Learning where students share personal narratives and hand crafted masks. It's a powerful rite of passage for Ospreys, rooted in our belief that every student deserves to be known and appreciated for who they are and who they want to become.
Every great school starts with a vision. The story of Animas High School began with a group of local parents and community members who believed students deserved something different, and they built it from the ground up. From no building to a partnership with Fort Lewis College, this is our origin story.
