💙 Happy "Forever Foster" Sunday, Oppa! 💙

Not every happy ending looks the same.

Some dogs find forever homes through adoption. Others find something just as special — a forever foster family who opens their heart, knowing they'll love and care for them through every chapter of life.

That's Oppa's story.

After being diagnosed with Megaesophagus, Oppa's path changed. But thanks to his incredible foster, he has a loving home where he'll continue to receive the consistency, patience, and care he needs to thrive. While Oppa won't be available for adoption, he has found exactly where he's meant to be.

And because of YOU, this sweet boy has something else, too.

Together, our community raised more than $3,000 through our Friends of Oppa campaign to help support his ongoing medical care.

We are truly blown away by the kindness you've shown. Every donation, every share, every encouraging comment was a reminder of what makes this community so special. You came together to ensure Oppa has the resources he needs, and we couldn't be more grateful.

There's just something about Penelope. 💛

This sweet girl joined the PAR family this past week after being pulled from a nearby shelter, and at just 1.5 years old and around 50 pounds, she's already stealing hearts. She's settling into foster life so beautifully, and... we're a little obsessed.

We're taking some time to let Penelope decompress and show us who she is, but one thing is already certain: she's an incredibly special girl, and we can't wait to share more about her as we get to know her better.

Stay tuned... we have a feeling you're going to fall in love with Penelope just like we have. 🐾

🇺🇸 The Fourth of July is almost here... is your pet ready?

Whether your community has fireworks planned or not, the holiday often brings unexpected loud noises, celebrations, and activity that can be stressful for our pets. Every year, more pets go missing around the Fourth of July than any other time of year — often because they panic and run from sudden booms or unfamiliar commotion.

🐾 Check your pet's ID tags and microchip information. Make sure everything is up to date and easy to read.

🐾 Set up a quiet, secure space indoors where your pet can relax away from windows and outside noise.

🐾 Have plenty of enrichment ready — stuffed Kongs, lick mats, puzzle toys, or long-lasting chews can help keep anxious minds occupied.

🐾 Double-check your fences, gates, doors, and windows to make sure there are no easy escape routes.

🐾 Take a current photo of your pet today. If they were to get loose, having a recent photo can help reunite you much faster.

🐾 If your pet struggles with loud noises or holiday celebrations, contact your veterinarian as soon as possible to discuss calming medications or supplements.

🐾 Keep pets safely at home during holiday festivities. Even dogs who normally seem confident can become frightened by unexpected sounds or crowds.

A little preparation today can help make this holiday a safe one for every member of the family. ❤️
