HAPPY JUNETEENTH!!
Today, we honor not only a pivotal moment in history, but the enduring strength of a people whose hope survived in the face of unimaginable hardship. Juneteenth marks the day freedom finally reached the last enslaved Black Americans in Galveston—a freedom that had been delayed, withheld, and resisted, but never extinguished.
This day is about more than a moment in history. It is a celebration of resilience, courage, and the unwavering belief in a better future. We honor the ancestors whose sacrifices helped create opportunities they themselves may never have had the chance to experience, and whose legacy continues to shape our nation today.
As we celebrate Juneteenth, we reflect with gratitude, confront our history with honesty, and recognize the humanity, dignity, and perseverance that carried generations forward. It is a story of hope, strength, and the enduring pursuit of freedom.
