✨ GUEST ARTIST SPOTLIGHT ✨
Happy International Tap Day! We are so excited to welcome SHANNON KAMINSKI to the All In Dance Academy In-House Convention for a special Tap Master Class 🔥
Shannon Kaminski grew up in Lombard, IL, and spent her childhood in the dance studio. While studying under the direction of Donna Johnson, Ashley DeForest-Goletz, and her brother, Sean Kaminski, she quickly fell in love with tap dance and immersed herself in the art. She was a Chicago Human Rhythm Project scholarship recipient for many years where she furthered her tap education. By the age of 17, Shannon was choreographing and teaching for Steppin’ Out Dance Company.
In 2013, Shannon moved to Muncie, Indiana to attend Ball State University. At BSU she was on the Code Red Dance Team, Outlet Hip Hop Group, and was a tap teacher and choreographer for Cole Academy. She would frequently organize open tap classes for her peers on campus. She graduated with a Bachelors in Public Relations and Creative Writing.
Following graduation, Shannon moved to Indianapolis, IN with the determination to spread her love of tap. In 2018 she became the Tap Director at Expressenz Dance Center (2024 “Studio of The Year” Winner) where she started the youth tap company, “NZ TapZ”. Growing from 12 to 52 members in just a few years, NZ TapZ has a yearly tap showcase and performs at local events in the Indianapolis area. Over the past few years, Shannon traveled around the US and Canada to teach and guest choreograph for studios. She has also been on faculty or danced at Little Rock Tap Fest, TapVibe Tap Competition, WING IT Tap Fest, BRAVO! Dance Competition, Canadian Dance Intensive, Indy Dance Fest, STEPS Tap Workshop, DeForest Summer intensive, Streetz Dance Convention, and more. In 2025 Shannon published her debut children's book, Tap Class Place which is available now online or at local bookstores.
