Durham Academy Athletics is excited to announce Ryne Linsley as our Head Varsity Boys Lacrosse Coach!

“From the moment we met Ryne, our search committee was blown away by his attention to detail, his passion for developing student-athletes and his commitment to culture building,” said Andy Pogach, Director of Athletics. “It is impressive how fast Ryne built Rabun Gap’s program into a state power. We are thrilled that he will be taking over our program.”

We are excited to have him leading our program and look forward to welcoming Coach Linsley and his family to Durham Academy! 🥍

Eid al-Adha Mubarak! While Eid al-Adha officially began on Wednesday, the festivities will continue until Saturday, May 30 (the days of Tashreeq). Eid al-Adha is a day of prayer and sacrifice. We hope all who celebrate had a happy Eid and enjoy the celebrations over the next few days.

Congrats to our own Taylor Beyle! 🎉 She graduated from N.C. State University with a Master of Arts in Teaching in Elementary Education. We're so proud of her for her hard work in the classroom, both as a student and as a DA teacher.

Taylor is a first grade teaching assistant in Shayna Dorvilier's classroom, and her name might be familiar to you — she's a legacy at DA! Her father, Jon Beyle, Sr., is a fourth grade teaching assistant in Ann Laros' classroom, and her brother, Jon Beyle, Jr., was once a coach at DA, as well as a member of the DA Summer team and the Lower School faculty.
