Humans and Autonomy Laboratory
The Human Autonomy Lab newly located at Duke University focuses on the interactions of humans and computer decision-making with embedded autonomy.
HALiens have been learning all around the country this past summer and look forward to bringing their knowledge to the lab as the semester begins!
HAL is looking forward to hosting the first annual Duke Robotics Symposium for students and faculty this weekend! The Symposium will open with welcoming remarks from Amazon Robotics, followed by short presentations from Duke Robotics and other Triangle area robotics faculty about current research. The rest of the day will be dedicated to short Ted-style talks from university students all around the Triangle area with an interest in robotics. Topics could include mobility and manipulation, perception, planning and optimization, human robot interaction, applications of robotics, field studies, and the legal and social implications of robotic systems.
