It truly is the hardest gig. I've seen first time hospital players enter the hospital wide eyed and some even cry after playing their heart strings for patients for the first time. As time passes, we grow and learn and with experience become experts at what we do. DooR to DooR's seasoned roster at UNC Health is amazingly skilled at their art and work in the hospital. Compassion, Sympathy, Empathy, and Service are words that DooR to DooR volunteers make me think of. It is truly inspiring to hear our musicians play their instruments and to do so with healing intention is a performance like no other. I applaud all hospital heroes and am thankful for our wonderful volunteers and our DooR to DooR roster.
