One afternoon, while beginning to prep dinner, Kim noticed an awful odor coming from the sink area. To get rid of the odor, she used several sink-cleaning solutions, a food-disposal cleaner, and even inspected the drain for any food particles, but the odor persisted until...😳

Listen to this passage of scripture in Song of Solomon 2:15 NLT - “Catch all the foxes, those little foxes, before they ruin the vineyard of love,
for the grapevines are blossoming!” 📖

In a marriage, little things can lead to major problems. Failing to return a text message, delaying a much-needed apology, or showing up late when you promised to be on time may seem minor at the time, but when left unaddressed, these minor issues can turn into a major “stink”. Solomon 2:15 admonishes lovers to beware and deal with the little foxes so that your love for one another will not wane. 💕

It turns out the odor from the sink was not actually coming from the sink. The odor was coming from an empty storage bag that Kim had taken meat from for dinner. When she didn’t immediately place it in the trash, that small translucent bag was the source of our “stinky” situation. 🗑️

This week, we encourage you to take the time to talk about any “little foxes” in your marriage, so that your love for one another will grow, eliminating any room for “Stinky Situations”. 👋

A Thoughtful Marriage Moment: “A Marriage Made in Heaven” 💝

In recent history, there have been several Corporate Mergers of monumental significance. Here are the top five of all time. Vodafone and Mannesmann. This merger, which took place in 2000, was worth over $180 billion and is the largest merger and acquisition deal in history. Others include America Online and Time Warner, Pfizer and Warner-Lambert, AT&T and BellSouth, Exxon and Mobil. 💰 As spectacular as these deals were on paper, none of them can compare to the union of you and your spouse. 💍

Listen to this passage of scripture in Genesis 2:22-24 GNT - “He formed a woman out of the rib and brought her to him. Then the man said, “At last, here is one of my own kind—Bone taken from my bone, and flesh from my flesh.”Woman” is her name because she was taken out of man.”That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united with his wife, and they become one.
Holy Matrimony is defined as marriage in a religious ceremony. The uniting of a man and woman of their own volition. Leaving others, including their former lives as singles, to form a union that is centered around aspirations, dreams, and hopes pursued as one unit.” 📖

As exciting as it is when two corporations merge, they can never duplicate the love and affection that exist when two individuals, joined by God, are living out His plan for their lives. A Godly Marriage is a reunion! It is the reuniting of what was extracted from man/husband and returned as a beautiful gift called woman/wife. 🥰

This week, we encourage you to move beyond all the things that complicate our marriages. The worries, stresses, strains, pains, the anticipation of, the holding on to, the letting go of, the what if, the if then, the when, the where, and even the why! Get back to focusing on who WE are… a Marriage Made in Heaven! 🙌
