Phil Cook

So many beautiful tributes today to this great man. So many personal photos of lives he touched, city by city, speech by speech, sermon by sermon and song by song for all of his days. The love in his gentle voice and warm smile I can still recall perfectly almost 40 years later. He asked me if I take good care of my mother and my brother. We shared the same birthday even. This moment planted a seed in me that is still growing to this day. You opened my ears, I pray that I may continue to listen.

My heart is with his family and friends and all those who dedicate their lives in service of the people.
