Artist working with fiber, drawing, digital imagery and silk screening

02/24/2026

Making monumental work requires a monumental team! I am so fortunate to have assembled a wonderful group of Mexican women who work with me in the studio to do silk screening, hand and machine sewing, cutting feathers and the related handwork required for the construction of my environmental artworks.

We have a great studio vibe and work together collaboratively several days a week. I love providing them jobs and empowerment. They love learning new skills and working in a creative environment. It’s a lovefest!

If you want to join me in making a difference in their lives, please consider making a tax-deductible donation to my Fractured Atlas account: https://fundraising.fracturedatlas.org/deborah-kruger-studio

My Story

I work with fiber, drawing, digital imagery and silk screening using images of endangered birds and endangered languages. My wall reliefs, sculpture and installations feature feathers that are printed on recycled plastic bags. I exhibit my work throughout North and Latin America. My work is influenced by my training in textile and wallpaper design.
