Welcome back, y’all! Can you believe it’s FDOC? As you begin classes today and catch up with friends today, take a few minutes to pray. Invite God into your semester and begin the semester in a posture of dependence on Him. Swipe to read a liturgy for the start of classes.

We hear often that we can model our prayers after the book of Psalms, but we don’t talk about why we should do this. Learning how to pray like David and the other psalmists can deepen our relationship with God and play a role in our sanctification.
This week, we want to challenge you to pick a psalm, respond to the 4 questions, and practice praying through it. Spend some time processing what the Lord might be teaching you through that psalm.

Hi! My name is Lillian and I am one of the senior interns. I was born and raised in Maryland. At Duke, I am a Biology major with a minor in Psychology on the Pre-Health Track. Outside of Cru, I am a member of an SLG, a tour guide, and a counselor for Camp Kesem. On campus, you can probably find me cheering at basketball games, spontaneously singing/dancing, or eating a Chicken Pesto Crepe from Cafe.
I joined Cru because I wanted a Christian Community that would support me as I learned what it meant to walk with God away from home. After attending a few weekly meetings and bible studies, I knew that this was the community I was looking for. Whether it was going to the state fair, watching the basketball games in the atrium, or randomly meeting up with people for lunch, there was always someone there to talk/laugh/make memories with. These people will always have a special place in my heart. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions about me, life at Duke, Cru, or just want someone to chat with. I love getting to know people and I cannot wait to meet you🥰

Neil (center) is a rising senior from Prince George, Virginia majoring in Biomedical and Electrical Engineering. He can often be seen on campus at Panda Express or on the intramural fields either refereeing or pursuing his third championship t-shirt. He is also a member of the reigning back-to-back Isle of Cru Beach Volleyball Tournament championship team and is looking for a three peat next spring break. He says that the reason he joined Cru was because of free food during O-week, but he has stayed and now become an intern because of the awesome people in Cru.
Fun fact: he has taken both guys sitting next to him to the ER.
