City Hall closed until 11 a.m.
Water Management's Mist Lake facility is open for utility payments.

9:30 a.m. UPDATE: City Hall now has power and our staff are working to bring all systems online. The building should open to the public and staff at 11 a.m.

Due to a power outage, Durham City Hall is delayed opening until 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8.

City staff are working with Duke Energy to fully restore power to City Hall.

We will provide updates as they are available if today's opening is delayed further.

The City of Durham will move to a Stage 2 Water Shortage Response beginning Monday, June 15, 2026, due to ongoing extreme drought conditions.

Good morning. Just putting this out there: Third Fork Creek is not a source of Durham's drinking water. Our water supply comes from Lake Michie and Little River Reservoir, which are fed by Flat River and Little River respectively.
