When you look at Murphy in these videos, you can see the confusion he is experiencing. And this was just one small moment in time. Can you imagine a dog who experiences this kind of confusion on a daily basis? Clarity is everything in dog training – so we must be really careful with the way we are communicating with our dogs. While we would love to believe they understand every word we say – they can only understand the words we have taught them. Furthermore,they see those words in pictures. They cannot transfer them to synonyms, abbreviations, or slang.
