SOLID Robotics Team

Team SOLID would like to send a thank you to all the people in our community that donated to our second food drive that took place this past Monday. We were able to collect over 1030 pounds of food as well as several checks and cash donation. All of this food is going to a great place to help out lots of people in this great time of need. Stay safe everyone.

Team SOLID had an amazing time helping out Maplewood and their Parks and Recreation department to find invasive species. We participated in a volunteer group to search lakes, looking primary for the invasive species known as Starry Stonewort. We collected samples to bring back to be further studied. Other invasive species were targets as well but to find Starry Stonewort was the main mission. If you see Starry Stonewort (depicted below) please notify your local government to help stop the spread of this invasive species.

We miss seeing our Jr. SOLID Scientists at Oak Ridge Elementary. We hope your at-home learning is going well and that we can share some fun STEM activities with you again next fall! Thanks High Tech Kids for the support.
