The Buddy Foundation of Tx called on the community for help catching a lost dog at Walmart. Vlp Edith answered that call. Thank you Edith for reaching out to us and waiting with the pup until we got there. We have delivered the pup to The Buddy Foundation and they will be taking him to the vet tomorrow…

UPDATE: Today was not a good day for us, or the 2 babies we took to the vet this week. We had to put them down. This baby was HIV positive and was also positive for Leukemia.

Humanely Euthanizing him was the best option to end his suffering.

Thanks to The Buddy Foundation of Tx who connected us with Ms Mendez, we were able to bring this baby to the vet. His abscess will be drained and has been started on antibiotics.

UPDATE: its with a heavy heart that we made the decision to put this beautiful baby down. She was already on the strongest pain meds and she was still shaking from the pain.

Her prognosis was not good. Therefore putting her down was the humane decision.

We did request to have her cremated.

Thanks to Pj Jimenez who posted this injured cat last night. We reached out to provide help getting her to the vet.
The initial diagnosis is a pelvic fracture. She is still able to stand, so xrays will be done tomorrow.

Please keep “kitty” in your prayers. She has been started on anti inflammatory, antibiotics , and pain medications.

On a morning like today, rescuing on a small scale can feel discouraging. Taking in one dog, feeding one colony, fostering one litter, or helping one injured animal may seem insignificant compared to the overwhelming number of animals still needing help. But after taking a deeper look, you begin to realize that real impact is created when all of those “small” efforts are combined. Every local rescue, every foster, every advocate, every volunteer, and every person helping in their own way becomes part of something much bigger. One rescue may save a few lives, but together, an entire community can change the future for countless animals. That is why working together matters so much — collaboration turns individual efforts into a powerful movement capable of creating lasting change.
