Recently, some of our Extension Master Gardeners traveled to Scotland, experiencing its stunning beauty through its lochs, culture, and picturesque gardens.
These volunteers play a vital role in protecting pollinators. Their work includes educating communities about pollinators' importance and how to support them.
Participating in a study tour like this—learning about land management and history from a different culture—can inspire our volunteers' approaches to teaching the public about Smart Gardening.
One participant even said, "Thank you so much for organizing this trip! It was both enjoyable and educational, and so much better than what I could have planned on my own. Traveling with other gardeners also helps me learn and notice things I wouldn't otherwise."
