Romeo Methodist Episcopal Church, now known as Romeo United Methodist, is located at 280 N. Main Street and was built 1872-1873. Its builder, J.C. Kaumeier, was most likely also its architect. Much of the stained glass here was designed and fabricated by the Detroit Stained Glass Works aka Friederichs & Staffin. According to history authored by congregants, all of the lancet widows at this site had the original central grisaille sections of their designs removed and replaced by patternless monochrome panes in 1962.
