Weight Training Technology took a road trip this past Saturday to Detroit. Destination: the John Simmons Bodybuilding Championships.
This trip was special because two of our own were on that stage. Clint Silveus and Jacob Scott. These two have been putting in the work over the past year. Dedication, consistency, strict nutrition, and focused show prep. It all paid off.

Men's Physique Masters 40+ β€” 1st Place
Open Class National Qualifier β€” 4th Place

Jacob Oberlin-Scott
Men's Physique True Novice β€” 3rd Place
Men's Physique Novice β€” 3rd Place

They both brought it on stage and their showmanship was awesome. Family, friends, and gym members were there to support them. That kind of support system matters in this sport.
If you know Clint or Jacob, or see them in the gym or on the street, stop and congratulate them. They earned it.
Weight Training Technology is PROUD of them. Hard work DOES pay off!

NO PERSON IS AN ISLAND!

What does that really mean?

No matter what you do in life, you have to find your way with people around you. People need to rely on you, and you need to rely on them. There may even be times when your success, happiness, or very survival depends on others.

A perfect example of this is when someone walks into a gym for the very first time.

They see rows of equipment and instantly feel intimidated. Then come the questions:
What are these machines for?
How do I use them correctly?
How do I train without getting hurt?
How do I breathe properly while lifting?
How do I fuel my body for energy and recovery?
How do I train efficiently and actually see results?

For a beginner, this is information overload.

Unfortunately, many trainers hand people a cookie-cutter workout program and simply tell them to follow it. Even if the client works hard and follows the plan, that alone does not guarantee success.
In many cases, this approach leads to frustration, poor results, and increased risk of injuries.
