Starkey Hearing Foundation
Our mission, "So the World May Hear," is about bringing understanding between people through caring and sharing.
The world may look different.
What families hope for doesn't.
Whether in Zambia, the Philippines, or anywhere else in the world, parents want the same thing: the chance to connect with their children and watch them grow, learn, and thrive.
That shared hope brought Kabwe Kabwe, a graduate of the Starkey Hearing Institute in Zambia, to the Philippines, where he joined local teams providing hearing healthcare to children during the years that matter most. When hearing loss is identified early, children have the opportunity to develop speech and language, build confidence, succeed in school, and stay connected to the people who love them most.
"This completes me," Kabwe shared. "Seeing children who were once unable to hear now smile as they turn toward their mother. Watching that connection be restored is what makes this work so meaningful."
No matter where we serve, the impact reaches far beyond hearing. It strengthens families, opens doors to opportunity, and gives children the confidence to discover their voice.
Because every child deserves the chance to hear the voices that will help shape their future.

The moment Adriana heard her mother say “I love you,” everything changed.
For years, 9-year-old Adriana lived in a world where conversations felt distant and school lessons passed by in silence. Quiet and withdrawn, she often turned to drawing instead of trying to understand the world around her.
But the moment her hearing aids were activated through Starkey Hearing Foundation, her face lit up with wonder.
“Mommy, I can hear other people talking, and children are talking!”
It wasn’t just sound Adriana discovered that day. It was confidence, connection, laughter, and the ability to fully belong.
Today, Adriana is thriving in school, raising her hand in class, reconnecting with her family, and dreaming bigger than ever before.
Because hearing is more than sound.
It is the beginning of possibility.

Twenty years of partnership. Countless lives changed.
This weekend, we celebrated the incredible partnership between Starkey Hearing Foundation and Delta Zeta at the Tani Austin Ignite the Flame Celebration.
Together, we've created lasting impact, expanded access to hearing healthcare, and inspired generations of leaders. What began as a shared commitment to service has grown into a movement driven by purpose, compassion, and a belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to hear and connect.
As we celebrated the past, we also looked toward the future, one filled with new opportunities, new leaders, and even greater impact.
The flame continues to grow.
His mother woke up at 3 a.m. and traveled for hours to reach the mission, holding onto one hope: that her son might finally hear the world around him.
When his hearing aids were turned on, everything started to change. Slowly, he began making sounds. Then came one of the most beautiful moments of all, hearing him proudly say his vowel sounds out loud: “A, E, I, O, U.” It was a moment his mother had dreamed of for so long, finally becoming real.
Now, he has the opportunity to learn, communicate, and attend school alongside other children his age. What once felt distant is now becoming possible, one word and one sound at a time.
A mother’s love helped bring him here.
And now, his own voice is helping carry him forward.

Every child deserves the opportunity to fully connect with the world around them and the confidence to grow within it.
Deo Isaiah Secro, a lively 6-year-old from Mandaue, Cebu, is discovering a world he had never fully heard before.
The moment he received his hearing aids marked the beginning of something life-changing. His eyes sparkled with amazement as he began reacting to sounds in a whole new way. Little by little, he started finding his voice, creating sounds with the excitement of hearing himself for the very first time.
And in those moments, something beautiful began to unfold, not just new sounds, but new confidence, curiosity, and connection with the people who love him most.
