Secular art requires a certain visual style and this art was no exception. This customers wish was fulfilled with this ornate gold Baroque Revival style frame, a grand and highly decorative design popular during the late 19th century. Its floral patterns on the outer moulding (characterized as acanthus leaf motifs) complement so many of the details in the stained glass to the railing - and respects the secular mood of the art. Customer was thrilled with the presentation - and couldn’t wait to give his wife her “birthday present!”
