The last 20+ years have been memorable in many many ways for our small parcel in NE Edina but in some ways we have extended our reach and impact and in most ways our little community has done something bigger than we expected, Laurie Lindeen was the pivot or the energy. She had done this before and in big ways part of the Mpls Sound of the 90s band explosion. She was a mom in our community but was extraordinary with her contributions with our amazing launch of MAC social gathering that brought us all together and launched new creative ideas. A rare find is Laurie Lindeen and a rare loss that we will never know what gifts were yet to give. Our loss. Much love to MAC MOTY James Diem who loved her more than anyone. ❤️💔❤️‍🩹

We are heartbroken about the news of our co-founder, frequent contributor and dear friend Laurie Lindeen’s sudden passing. There simply wouldn’t be a Morningside After Dark (the name she gave our church basement gig, naturally) without Laurie. After helping us launch the show and fill it with her many talented musician and writer friends no one could believe we landed on our humble stage, she also made us laugh and cry with her frequent appearances as a performer. We will share the ones we were lucky enough to record with you here. We will never forget her and send our love to everyone hurting.
