"Things you can still 'BE' after receiving an ostomy-

1. Be
Having gratitude for our lives being extended and extra time with family/loved ones. 💛

2. Confident
An ostomy allows you to multi-task like none other. 😉 Confidence is an inner knowingness of our worth in this life. We all have value, so let your confidence flag, fly high QueenSisters! 🙌🏾🤩

3. Shy
You choose whether to show or talk about your ostomy. Just because ostomy advocates like myself, choose to show our ostomies, does not mean you have to. We do it to remove the negative stigma. So do you, no explanations, needed! 💯👊🏾

4. Happy
It’s ok to laugh, make jokes, and have a full and rich life with an ostomy. Laughter brought me through a lot of tough tear and pain filled days/nights. And it’s natures pain medicine! ☀️

5. Peace-filled
Grieving the body functionality and parts of our bodies that we lost is an important step on the journey to peace and recovery with your ostomy.
Every day with an ostomy isn’t great, but our mindsets can be. 🙏🏾☀️

6. Sexy 💃🏾❤️
You can still be grown and sexy with your ostomy. As ostomates, we can and should still wear lingerie, swimsuits, form fitting clothes, etc.
