That’s why Blue Shift spent today on the training ground.

Crews rotated through multiple hands-on evolutions designed to reinforce the fundamentals that make the biggest difference on the fireground. Training included command and initial radio reports, pulling and extending handlines, making entry, vertical ventilation, and coordinated fireground operations.

Every repetition builds confidence, sharpens decision-making, strengthens teamwork, and reinforces the skills needed when seconds matter.

We owe our community professionals who never stop preparing.

In those critical moments before first responders arrive, knowing CPR can massively increase someone’s chance of survival. It’s a simple skill that anyone can learn, but it makes all the difference when it matters most.
