Hi parents! This fall, I have begun college admissions consulting with a few students in our community. After attending conferences and observing the environment around college admissions consulting, I have decided to expand my practice as a resource that is in line with my personal teaching style.

With a continued use of holistic approaches for students, my practice will continue to be defined by goal-centered, personalized sessions that we decide upon together. We will discuss more than just academics –– we will work to represent a student’s academic and personal life through an application that is comprehensive, compassionate, and confident.

Hi parents! I have a new program, specially designed for you! Through Foghorn Education Center, I will be doing a talk at the Marina Beach Park on the morning of September 14th, discussing the PNW from land to sea –– ocean tides, whales, history, marine life, driftwood, mindfulness, and more! For the past year now, I have been writing and teaching curriculums on PNW history, marine life, and the ocean. By a popular demand, I have now changed this curriculum to share my knowledge with parents and adults. Hi everyone! I am so excited to announce that my summer camp has now been launched! This is a project that I've been working on for about seven months, and now I am delighted to be sharing it with you.

As an educator, I have always believed that the natural world, its history, and its beauty are powerful things for a student to appreciate. Nature is a source of peace, of understanding, and of community. But regional, naturalist, and hands-on education often falls to the wayside during the school year. In this summer camp curriculum, through games, play, and interactive lessons, we will build a sense of connection, understanding, and of community here in our incredible PNW ecosystem.

As Henry Matisse said, "there are always flowers for those who want to see them." Through this project, I aim to show students the beauty, intricacy, and knowledge of the Pacific Northwest through the exciting curriculums of summer camp education.

My teaching strategy has always been to define for myself what I aim to pass on. But learning how to effectively teach confidence took a little more than a quick search.
