This is a pair of paintings inspired by this year's Chinese astrological sign - the Fire Horse! With a yin-yang approach, one features dark horses on a pale background. The other features white horses on a dark background. These are original paintings by our artist of the month, Kathy Tuura (aka ).

Her fertile imagination and exuberant spirit loves to try new things! In fact, she paints with a credit card instead of a brush!

It was my dear friend Tara's birthday yesterday. Since I convinced her to get the amazing squash blossom necklace with the unusual malachite when we went to Santa Fe last year (where I also got my cool boots!), I made a malachite ring to go with it as a birthday gift. Happy Birthday, Tara!
