Basic and Beyond Photography

Got to take advantage of lovely weather for this family. I got to test my new found skills removing unwanted items from the background. Oliver Alyssa Perkins Perkins sneak peeks. My personal favorites are saved for the reveal.

My friends I have been a photographer for nearly 20 yrs and want your input. How do you find a photographer for your needs? Does it help if you know the person? Do you prefer longer sessions or mini sessions of 30 minutes or less? I only ask because after all the training and all my experience, I still find that previous clients tend to go with less qualified photographers (the ones that buy a fancy camera but have no skill). I may be reading too much into this but after so many clients say they love their photos but don't tend to return to me for future sessions. I find this both saddens and angers me. I worked really hard learning my craft and spent lots of money on my equipment I am fence sitting continuing to offer my services or just pack it in and only doing sessions for family and extremely close friends. It kills me to contemplate this.

I am currently taking a break from the business I will still do a few sessions here and there but only a few. I have other things taking up my time and cannot focus on the sessions like they deserve. Thank you for your patience during this time of transition.

All right all my Facebook friends I have come close to 400 likes a few times before and never reached it. I challenge you to share my page and if the person who is the 400th like is someone you shared it with, you will receive an awesome mini session that will be 30 minutes of personal shoot time, an online gallery of photos, and 5 full resolution digital photos with print release. Also in the same spirit I would be stoked to hit 500 after that and the same goes for those shares as well so if someone you shared with is my 500th you will receive the same mini session package. In the event one of my own request results in these milestones that person will receive the session.

Got some new photos up and ready to get some bookings for the fall/senior portrait season.

The weather is starting to cool down and those beautiful fall colors are going to start coming out. Time to think about those senior pictures and the colorful fall family photos.
