I find it mind blowing how much work and details go into performing music. From my personal experience of strumming and picking on an acoustic guitar in the bedroom alone, in fear of bothering my wife with the repeated same notes trying to get it right... to now have performed to a crowd of over a thousand people. 🤯
So many details go into just the sound system to project what you're performing. The instruments you use. The settings on your amp to get the sound and tone and effects you want to project. The type of vocal mic, or instrument microphone. How to project your voice in the right way, how to adjust the muscles for your vocals to get the right pitch, wet or dry vocals, falsetto, breathing techniques to complete a long sustainment. To train your ears to listen to all of the instruments individually while the whole band or even an Orchestra performs. To train your muscle memory to just go to the right note with little to no thought, it just kinda happens... sometimes that's where "happy little accidents" happen. 😊 There is so much practice that has gone into a single performance, and then more practice after that.
Then there's studio/recording work and details that is mind blowing by itself.

I don't see my own growth that has happened in the few years I've been performing, even after just mentioning it. I do enjoy watching and listening to others grow with their abilities and appreciate their individual style and skills.

When you turn on the next song... please realize how much has gone into just that one song, for you to enjoy it.

There are so many things that I try to practice in my head, of things I would like to say, mention, to continue progressing my presence on stage, to make it a show and not just sing and then silence, to build a flow. To relax and be genuine... to "practice being genuine" lol seems like an oxymoron. This is something I've practiced to remember to say, yet have not been able to get my thoughts together once I'm behind the mic and volumes go up. It's a scary moment for myself. That's the moment I'm the most nervous. There's always nerves, no matter how excited I may be to perform. .."I find inspiration from any musician, especially ones I have the honor to work with, practice with, jam with, or just watch there show. This young lady, Dani Carson, has truly been an inspiration from the very first moment I heard you speak to the crowd and perform. The sound of your strumming hand was the first thing I noticed and was "Wow'd"... I started on the acoustic guitar, so I hear the instruments and rarely listen to lyrics... you still continue to not just inspire myself, but I see you create your own waves of inspiration to other people. I can see their light turn on when you perform, they have a more genuine smile. May be a weird thing to notice... but I'm grateful to witness it, and be a part of it. 🙏 Thank you, Dani Carson.

I sincerely want to thank EVERYONE who came to see me this past weekend. Every one of you made my evenings and afternoons, especially when I’m as not feeling up to par.
