One of the biggest misconceptions about doulas is that we only support unmedicated births. In reality, a birth doula's role is to support your birth—whatever that looks like. 🤍
Whether you're planning an unmedicated birth, know you want an epidural, or are preparing for a scheduled or unexpected cesarean birth, the care we provide simply adapts to your needs. Our goal is always the same: helping you feel informed and cared for throughout labor, birth, and those first precious moments with your baby.
Swipe to see how doula support looks a little different for every kind of birth. 🌿

One of the greatest privileges of this work is walking alongside families during such meaningful moments. What an honor it is to be in the room as you welcome your little one into your arms! 🤎
"The moment Grace walked into the room, the mood shifted for the better. She has a calm, reassuring presence that instantly made everyone feel more at ease. Her techniques and coaching were game changing and she kept a great attitude the entire time: steady, positive, and encouraging.
She helped us feel heard and kept us focused on the birth plan we wanted, while still working respectfully with the medical team so everything stayed collaborative. Her background and experience as a nurse were incredibly helpful when a few unexpected situations came up.
Even after the birth, her support did not stop. She followed up, checked in on us, and stayed attentive to how we were doing, which showed how much she truly cared.
We really feel like Grace was a blessing from God during one of the most important moments of our lives. Her compassion, skill, and steady support made all the difference, and her prayer with recitation of scripture brought us together in comfort."

Packing for the hospital? Here are some of our favorite comfort measures to throw in your bag!
Snacks, electrolyte packets, & a water bottle
🌿 Labor is a marathon, not a sprint. Staying hydrated and keeping your energy up can make a big difference throughout the day.
Scripture cards or birth affirmations
🕊️ When labor gets intense, having something grounding to focus on can help you stay calm, centered, and encouraged.
A labor comb, massage roller, or handheld fan
✨ These simple tools are easy to pack and can provide physical comfort, distraction, and relief when contractions pick up.
Battery-operated candles and a soft blanket from home
🕯️ A few familiar comforts can make a hospital room feel a little more peaceful and a little more like your own space.
Bonus tip: make a rice sock to use as a heating pad!
🧦 Simply fill a cotton tube sock halfway full (1-2 cups of dried rice) and tie it off at the top! Heat in the microwave and add a couple drops of essential oils if desired.
Every mom is different, but having a few comfort measures on hand gives you options—and sometimes the smallest things end up being the most helpful. 🤍
