This panel of inspirational local leaders will be a treat. Celebrate International Women's Day with us at Gail Borden Public Library on March. 5!

On March 5, 2023, from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm, you are invited to celebrate International Women's Day with Elgin Area AAUW in the Meadow Room at the Gail Borden Public Library. The afternoon will be full of inspiring stories from Elgin's women leaders.

Refreshments will be served, and entertainment will be provided by the acapella group Nothing But Treble.

The event will be hosted by Erin Rehberg of Side Street Studio Arts and Moderated by State Representative Anna Moeller, 43rd District. In addition to these engaging women, the following women will be sharing their stories, Shirley Bassett of the African-American Coalition of Kane County (AACKC Group), Jennifer Fukala of the Downtown Neighborhood Association of Elgin IL, Amanda Garcia of ColorWord Creative, Inc., Ket Herena of Chinese Mutual Aid Association - Elgin Office, Jamilah Okoe, M.D. of Advocate Medical Group (Advocate Sherman Hospital), and Dianha Ortega-Ehreth of Centro de Informacion.
