If you’ve received a bag from us recently, you’ve likely noticed a change! This transition period brought a new look to our coffee - one we’ve intended to be as timeless, mature, and knowledgeable as the craft itself. ☕️ we would love to know what you think of the new look!🙂

It’s Time for a Change

It’s been a little over 12 years. October 1 of 2011, FreshGround Roasting roasted our first batch of coffee in a tiny, 300 square foot location in West Chicago.

Since then, we moved to a much larger space in Geneva, did a lot of Farmers Markets, tons of mobile espresso events, made some great friends - so much to be thankful for.

A New Partnership

We’re excited to enter into a new partnership with Viator Coffee Co. in Elgin. This does mean we’ll be moving out of our location in Geneva at the end of February.

What does this mean for all the great coffee you NEED?

☕️ We’ll still be roasting all of the same great coffees - just doing it in a different location

☕️ We’re working out details, but you will be able to order online and pick up your order as usual in the hallway at our Geneva location. More details to come on that.
☕️ If you’re closer to Elgin, you’ll be able to pick up your coffee at Viator Coffee.
☕️ All shipped orders will remain the same.
☕️ Yes - we’ll still have our famous Black Ice Brew cold brew available as well.

So, really, other than a new location and a new partnership with some amazing coffee people, not much has changed!

Krista and I have loved being here in Geneva. We raised 4 kids here, ran a business here and love everything about this town. Here’s to growth and more great coffee in the future!
