Smoothies can be a great way to get in some valuable greens! However- when they are icey or sugary they are much less supportive of health. The smoothie recipe I recommend is avocado, spinach or arugula, coconut manna, lemon juice and just a bit of berries or banana. If I have only frozen fruit I will add hot water.
From the perspective of Traditional Chinese Medicine ice should be avoided as it slows and dampens our digestion.
