Even though this clock was used in Dodge trucks from 1975 to 1980 it is still a very rare option. The hands needed to be refinished and the hard-to-find movement needed replacing. Nothing could be done to bring the dial back to life as this lived its life in California, a typical problem with vehicles from the south. Finding a dial for the clock is nearly impossible.
Finishing this clock for a customer in North Dakota. The customer sent this without a k**b, so we tempoarily put a k**b on it just to check that the time can be set and that this operation functions correctly. The hour & minute hands have been refinished and the customer ordered a special color overlay for the dial that took a few weeks to get here. This has been running accurately for a few days after it was cleaned and lubricated.

Repairing your Model D8 Kit Cat Klock clock...
Part 2: Before removing the eyeballs I label them L & R for left and right at the top of the tang. This way I know which side is up and it's hidden enough from view when looking at the clock with the cover off. I do this, so that I don't have to figure out the correct orientation when installing them which saves time. After labelling them push the bottom of the eyeball up squeezing it just enough so that the bottom post clears the hole that it's in. These particular eyeballs are jewelled, but the procedure is the same if they aren't. These are in dire need of cleaning which I'll explain how to do in another post.
