28 Y/O Male Drowns in Lake Cumberland area in Russell County. Late yesterday afternoon, first responders were called Caney Fork Creek area off Cumberland Lake for a reported Drowning. Accirding to witnesses, the victim was swimming with friends and was noticed to be having some issues. He reportedly went under and did not resurface. His friends recovered him from the water and began life saving measures.

Joshua Wethington was pronounced on scene by the Russell County Coroner. His body was sent to the Kentucky State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort for autopsy.
